What is the difference between shea oil and shea butter?
Shea oil is a natural by-product of shea butter production and is derived from the nut of the shea fruit which also produces shea butter. The liquid portion is separated and sold as shea oil, while the solid portion is sold as shea butter. The shea fruit has a higher Vitamin C content per gram than an orange! Shea oil is golden yellow in color and is used for protecting skin from harsh weather environments. Shea oil offers the same benefits for skin problems as shea butter, such as dermatitis, eczema, burns, dryness and other irritations.
How is this product different from your dry oil spray?
Shea oil is more viscous when compared with our dry oil spray and therefore is not packaged in a sprayer bottle. As a thicker oil, shea oil imparts a more velvety finish on the skin whereas our dry oil spray achieves a more silky finish. It is a matter of personal preference, but both products are terrific for all skin types year round. (However, customers with problem dry skin or mature skin might want to opt for the shea oil.) |
