What's Shea Butter?
Shea butter is derived from the seed of the Karite Tree (Butyrosperum Parkii) common to West Africa. From these seeds a soft, pliant butter is expeller pressed without the use of solvents. Smooth and creamy, Shea butter is well known to assist cutaneous dryness. It melts at skin temperature, and absorbs readily into skin to moisturize and protect.
