   After the Rain

  Appian Way

 Blues & Sugar
If there is no Barbie without her Ken, then there is no Pink Candy without Blues & Sugar. Fans of Aquolina's Blue Sugar will no doubt be heavily swayed towards our Blues & Sugar, with its unique blending of toasted caramel sugar notes, fresh herbs, spices, cedar wood, tonka bean, patchouli, lavender with light touches of anise, ginger and citrus. While Aquolina markets Blue Sugar towards men, it's too limiting for this incredible fragrance. Our Blues & Sugar will intrigue and smell fabulous on both men and women. Blues & Sugar isn't a scent that you can peg on first sniff; it is one that needs to be savored repeatedly. This multi-faceted fragrance is a treat for anyone's nose and I dare say, if Pink Candy smells a bit young to you, then Blues & Sugar will smell like perfection.
 Chasing Butterflies
The classis white floral by L'Artisan Parfumeur named La Chase aux Papillons has long captured the minds of those who adore boutique, niche fragrances. If you are one of those people, then The Body Perfumery's Chasing Butterflies is a must-try fragrance for you. Chasing Butterflies is a beautiful spring floral combining linden flower, orange blossoms, tuberose and jasmine with light citrus accents. This is a simple, classic floral suitable for any season but has a special affinity for spring.

Dragon Phoenix Pearl
If you are a jasmine tea connoisseur, you will no doubt have sampled the superior grade of jasmine tea called Dragon Phoenix Pearl. With its unparalleled clean floral liquor, the Dragon Phoenix Pearl is a sublime drink and our fragrance named after this tea is equally exquisite.  Eastern Honey Tea
This sweet and smokey tea blend has a base in a strong chai tea that has been infused with honey, juicy peaches, star anise, cardamom, orange peel, ginger, pepper and champaca flowers. All these notes are anchored by a mix of amber, incense and precious woods. This is an amazing and complex play on tea.
Eirene
Often represented as a youthful female, the Greek goddess of the spring and of peace, Eirene, is often represented with a cornucopia in her left arm and an olive branch in her right hand. The Body Perfumery's Eirene is a fresh and joyful composition of black currants, pink grapefruit, juicy lychee and sweet violets. This cheerful spring-like scent will bring a beatific smile to your face.

French Lavender Pumpkin
Created at the behest of a customer, this blend of french lavender essential oil and a sweet and spicy pumpkin fragrance is surprisingly good! Let this unusual hybrid be the wild card in your order and you just might fall in love.
Fresh Grace
A fresh new spin on an old favorite, our blend of Fresh Grace commences with a whiff of fresh laundry, a touch of lemon sugar, a trace of mint and ends with the soft, clean goodness that is A Moment's Grace.
Hesperides
The Hesperides is the ancient Greek's equivalent of paradise. As legend has it, a grove of golden fruit grew in its orchard which had the power to bestow on its eater immortality. Inspired by this myth, The Body Perfumery blends here a veritable feast of the most fragrant fruits we've ever encountered. Everything from figs, dates, apples, lychee and quince, to oranges, lemons, currants and berries found their way into this fragrance. The result must be smelled to be believed!
Ice Maiden
A sparkling fragrance with notes of mimosa, champagne, sweet oranges, gardenia, bergamot and basil. A scent inspired by Grace Kelly in the movie High Society, where she played a beautiful ice princess socialite who finds true love.
Kon Tiki Custard
Thor Heyerdahl probably would much rather have eaten this while sailing to the South Pacific aboard his raft, Kon Tiki, rather than his rations. Think of The Body Perfumery's Kon Tiki Custard as a delicious crossing of a traditional french crème brulee, a cup of Indian masala chai, ripe juicy mangoes, pineapples, creamy coconut and the most concentrated Tahitian vanilla you can think of, all on a bed of precious dark teakwood. La Principessa

Londinium
Who would have guessed that this lonely Roman outpost in the British Isles would have turned into the bustling cosmopolitan metropolis called London today? Londinium is a fragrance epitomizing an independent and confident urban lifestyle. Casually elegant with notes of clementine, honeysuckle, rose, tiare flower, jasmine, peony, sandalwood, patchouli and musk. Don't hesitate to give Londinium a try if you like Burberry's London.
Nineteen 22
Straight out of the Roaring 20s comes this retro fragrance of jasmine, tuberose, lily of the valley, lilac, orange blossom, rose, white musk, vanilla, and incense. A classical aldehydic perfume reminiscent of Chanel's No. 22.
Westphalia
A bracingly clean and fresh blend of neroli, lemon, lime, white sage, lemongrass and rosemary. A classic composition full of old world charm.

Discontinued Scents & Products
To keep things lively around here, I have culled through the scent menu and removed some scents to achieve greater focus and direction in the scent menu. This strategy will also allow me to offer to you many more exciting blends that are just waiting to be born.
The discontinued scents are posted here and will still be available for ordering until supplies run out. I know there are fans of these scents out there, so be ready to snap them up before I am sold out.
A few products in the discontinued scents are discounted 25% until further notice to clear the current inventory. You have to make your purchase through the links posted on the discontinued page to get the special discount.
Remember that the movement of scents from the regular catalog will be an ongoing process. As the regular catalog grows, so will the list of discontinued scents.

LOTION VARIETY SET
A set of 3 two ounce lotions, in each of our three lotion formulas, so you can more easily decide which one suits you best without committing to a larger bottle. To make things easier for me though, the sampler sets will be available in a more limited number of scents which will rotate over time. I don't choose those scents willy-nilly, so rest assured that all of them are either my personal favorites or customer best-sellers.

Postal Rate Increases
The U.S. Postal Service has hiked their rates across the board (for both domestic and international mailings) effective May 14, 2007. For Priority Mail (the class of postage generally used by The Body Perfumery), the percentage increase ranges between 13% to 14% from previous rates. There are no plans to switch our primary shipping carrier from USPS to UPS Ground or Fedex Ground, as both these services are generally slower than USPS Priority Mail and involve high surcharges for our customers living in rural addresses. A new shipping rates table has been posted up here.

The Body Perfumery's shopping cart will be de-activated from Friday, June 1, 2007 to Sunday, June 10, 2007 allow for a vacation. All orders received up to midnight Thursday, May 31, 2007 will be shipped according to the schedule posted on the homepage. This schedule is updated frequently to account for current order volume, so please check the estimates before ordering.
