This is a tribute to one of the first pieces of chocolate I had ever tasted. When I was a toddler, my parents brought back a box of mixed Ghirardelli chocolates from San Francisco. It had a bit of everything in it, but when I reached in, the first piece I got was an orange flavored dark chocolate square. Yummy! The Orient Express
The first Orient Express departed from Paris in 1883 making the journey to Vienna via Munich. By the 1920s and 1930s, the Orient Express network had grown to offer stops to Belgrade, Sofia and Istanbul. It personified a bygone age of travelling in luxury, with well-appointed sleeper cars and fine dining on board. With this as inspiration, we blended Madagascar vanilla, oriental lilies, egyptian musk, neroli, sandalwood, ginger, chypre, spice and woody herbals together into a scent that is plush and hynotic like the patterns on a priceless Persian carpet. This unisex fragrance evokes the colorful excitement of travel, and combines it with a strong dose of eastern mystery and splendor.
The Silk Road
An evocative blend of precious spices, anise, cloves, pepper, amber, musk and sandalwood: everything that used to be transported on the Silk Road, a journey between the east and the west that stretched thousands of miles through deserts and mountains to supply Europe with rarest commodities from the East.
